About Tappers
TAPPERS’ O Gauge Train Collectors Club was the creation of Graham Lock and Gerry Tryhorn in 2008. They wanted to form a club that would serve the South East of England and cater for the coarse and standard scale enthusiast, who could run vintage/modern models like Bassett-Lowke, Hornby, Leeds, Bonds, ACE Trains etc.
They meet monthly, alternating on a Wednesday evening and a Saturday afternoon. Wednesday meets are in the small hall and Saturdays are in the main hall. Three meetings during the year are an ‘Open Day’ and two exhibitions.
No membership required, just the entrance fee of £2 for Wed evening. £3 for a Saturday meet and £4 for exhibitions.
TAPPERS’ now have two O gauge test tracks. One being used for the Wednesday evening meet, both are used for the Saturday meet.
They normally have 3 or 4 traders attending, selling new and second-hand items. A Bring ‘n Buy table operates most meets.
